Sites to be visited
Château de Jumilhac
(13th-17thI century), historical monument, is the soul of the village because it was protected during the Revolution by the inhabitants of the town. Unique in France, its roof are adorned with fairy allegories that inspired the engraver Gustave Doré, who called them "the most romantic of France." Perched on a rocky outcrop, it overlooks the upper valley of the Isle.
We invite you to discover its rooms with wood paneling and period furniture, its paintings (hunting scenes ...), its famous copper cookware, the legend of the "spinner", its gardens. It is also one of the locations of the film "The Pact of the Wolves" by Christophe Gans released in January 2001 which recounts the legend of the Beast of Gevaudan.
Les Ors d'un Jardin: tour or guided tour. Young and old come to discover the wonderful world of Gold and the magical world of alchemy: flower beds, fountain, rose garden romantic floral planetarium.
The Gallery of Gold

The Ecocentre Perigord:
Located at the farm Froidefon on the town of Saint Pierre de Frugie, ecocentre Perigord is a set of 5 buildings from 15 to 25 m2 each. They introduce different methods of green building and green energy available to both professionals and the general public. So you will discover:
* A building in straw and earth with windenergy
* Another building in bricks with solar photovoltaic energy
* A building in the ground with solar thermal energy
* Another building in lime / hemp with biogas energy
* Finally, a wooden building with wood energy
You will learn techniques and discover the benefits of green building and all the secrets of eco-energy. Every two years runs an eco-festival with many exhibitors from all over France, the first was held in September 2004.
