The former "Couvent des Croisés" (18th century) will lead you to the covered market place and to the Gothic church. Hikers should not miss the lovely paths leading to Eyvigues -a village that has merged with Salignac- where they'll admire the numerous preserved plants and flowers, a lovely church, a 12th-century chapel, and a 16th-century manor. For those of you who like gardens, noone should leave Salignac without visiting Eyrignac and its famous gardens "à la Française", one of the most beautiful gardens in France (rated in the green Michelin guide).
