Welcome ! Chateau de Puyferrat ("fortified hill" in the old French), is a listed monument
dating back to the 16th century (with 12th-century underground refuges), and a member of the Route des 1001
Châteaux, nestling in a vast domain where quietness and birds prevail. Located on the heights of Saint-Astier, at a 2km-drive from the town center, it is surrounded by
100 hectares of wooded land and verdant meadows, where you'll meet horses or deers. Close to the chateau, a 3-hectare park hosts a 18th century chapel that has been entirely restored
with nice contemporary frescoes. The 3,500-sqm lake will also be a perfect place for fishermen.
Puyferrat retains a number of medieval architectural characteristics, among which a rectangular main house, sides that are oriented to the East-West which makes it possible
for the three stories to benefit from the sun all day long. A rare total covered way will lead you to discover the amazing panorama onto Saint-Astier and its surrounding
countryside.
We will welcome you in one of our five 30-sqm bedrooms decorated with genuine local antiques, offering a private bathroom with tub and washbasin. Thanks to 1.30-m thick walls, and to
floors "à la française", no noise will ever disturb your stay...
