One has to distinguish in Bourdeilles between two châteaux overlooking the Dronne river from a stony terrace surrounded by a rampart.

The feudal fortress (XIIth - XIVth centuries)
is a machicolated enclosure with gemeled windows, dominated by a unique 35 metre-high octagonal donjon composed of 4 vaulted storeys with 2 metre-thick walls.

The   logis Renaissance (XVIth century)
with ceremonial rooms sumptuously decorated, like the richly painted " salon doré " where you will discover, among prestigious furniture (XVth to XIXth centuries), the bed of King Charles Quint and its gold decorations.

The guided tour lasts approx. 1 hour
Possible visit of the donjon
