You'll enjoy the boxes and the cascades, the colours and the fragrances, the weather vanes and the natural terraces... all permanently harmonizing. The challenge has first been initiated by the town-hall officials and has then been turned into a competition, the winners of which were Kathryn Gustafson and Ian Ritchie, an architect; this more than anything, confirms the international ambition of the project. The word "Vézère" is spontaneously associated to "cradle of mankind". The design of the Jardins de l'Imaginaire has thus leant onto this originality. The gardens evoke the History of Mankind throughout the History of gardens.
